︎ AAPI Month! ︎
I’m Filipino-American, so Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month means a lot to me. I think it’s incredibly important to see Asian minorities represented in our society.
At BrightHouse, I art directed + designed the 2023 AAPI month theme for our company. The theme was called “The Things We Carry: Our Dreams, Our Struggles, Our Connections.” Illustration by Ruby Yang.
I also volunteered to create a postcard for my favorite family-owned pho restaurant on Buford Highway in Atlanta. The illustration was done by hand using Chartpak markers. The postcard is a part of a series that was sold at Citizen Supply at Ponce City Market to raise money for the non-profit, We Love Buford Highway.
